Great design requires creativity and strategy—and I’ve spent the past fifteen years growing both skills. It’s an incredibly valuable combination that allows me to partner with senior executives and project teams to deliver successful branding and marketing solutions.

Experience

    • Lead and mentor a cross-functional team to provide multifaceted support for strategic client engagements

    • Develop and maintain brand standards for internal campaigns, initiatives, and events

    • Ensure business partners are equipped with the necessary resources to maintain consistent branding, including workshops, demos, style guides, templates, and consultations

    • Collaborate with leadership to express complex business development plans in engaging, accessible multimedia formats

    • Develop campaigns, targeted messaging, and engagement strategies for a variety of audiences

    • Work with client-facing and internal teams to create consistent suites of assets and collateral for omnichannel deployment

    • Led a team of two designers and the visual direction of four magazines, including print supplements and digital products, with a range of art budgets (~$200k annually)

    • Worked with multiple editorial, digital, production, and marketing teams across the U.S. to execute new, creative content presentation, promotion, production, and branding strategies

    • Responsible for all commissioned art, photography, and information graphics for publication

    • Redesigned two magazines to fulfill readership needs and create visual synergy with their digital presence

    • Created and communicated new design strategy for the institute’s visual identity

    • Communicated design vision, results, and stories to a variety of audiences, both external and internal

    • Collaborated with communications teams to drive engagement with external audiences

    • Designed digital, marketing, infographic, and event materials for a wide range of internal clients

    • Led a staff of two designers and cultivated opportunities for staff development

    • Created publication brand standards and governance, as well as strengthened Politico’s master identity

    • Collaborated closely with copy, photo, editorial, web, and marketing departments to plan and execute long-term projects and publications; led and mentored a staff of three designers

    • Designed logos, marketing materials, sales forms, signage, and promotional items as needed

    • Designed and proofed all newspapers, special sections, magazines, advertorials, and infographics, ensured designs adhered to Politico style; met nightly deadlines in keeping with the production schedule

    • Designed daily pages, graphics, and print advertisements as well as special sections and issues for both print and online outlets

    • Researched, created, and edited infographics, charts, maps, and other visual elements for print and web

    • Created, edited, and updated marketing and promotional materials, including logos, signage, drop-boxes, media kits, business cards, house ads, brochures, posters, and mailers

  • My freelance opportunities have included a wide variety of design strategy services such as marketing campaigns, websites, social media, advertisements (both print and digital), html e-mails, logos, and packaging. My clients range from small business owners to law firms, trade associations, and agencies.
