Digital Strategy & Design

I collaborated with a restaurant group in Columbus, Ohio, to reimagine their digital presence and customer experience to better represent their three distinct but connected brands. The project spanned several months and involved bringing all three restaurants under one umbrella parent site that allowed for shared e-commerce and events, as well as increased customer awareness of their promotions and locations.

The project started with an audit of the existing, separate websites and digital presence overall. I was able to provide considerable insights and recommendations that were carried forward and helped shape the redesign’s goals.

Previously, users had to visit each individual restaurant page to shop merchandise, browse events, or order food specific to that location. The redesign allowed users to instead navigate to a central location with links to centralized merch, events, and online ordering.

Individual restaurant sub-pages were customized with events and news specific to that location, and static pdf menus were replaced by dynamic menu pages.

I also created a site style guide and worked directly with the developer to implement the new designs and advise on content migration.

Ultimately the client and their end users were thrilled with the improved functionality of the site and the overall experience. The new design allowed for a more cohesive brand, as well as cross-promotion of events and merchandise.
